The LME is a virtual organisation focused on the needs and difficulties of very small enterprises. Its core purpose is to carry out generic research and development, in technical and social areas, aimed at supporting this important economic group. Our current flagship project, Computer Craftsmanship, aims to realise affordable computer aided design and manufacture for craft enterprise. This is a key component of a wider enterprise automation project.
